July: Doors & Windows

Snapshooters, amateurs, photo enthusiasts, and professionals are encouraged to submit their best images for the July 2011 DPA Assignment dedicated to doors and windows! Doors and windows are portals for looking into or outside of the world. They can block out the cold or let in the rain. Capture the details of a wooden door, a doorknob with character, or the sun pooling through an open window. Show us those arches while experimenting with light and shadow. This month's assignment is themed: Doors & Windows!

April: When Spring Landscapes Have Sprung

Snapshooters, amateurs, photo enthusiasts and professionals are encouraged to submit their best images for the April 2011 DPA Assignment dedicated to the Spring! Capture the puffy clouds or the grey skies when it rains. Show us those sun-loving flowers while documenting the versatile colors of your spring garden. This month's assignment is themed: When Spring Landscapes Have Sprung!

March: Black & White

January: Seeing Orange

During the holiday season we see all kinds of colors: red, blue green, but what about the color orange!? Because orange remains in the shadows this season we decided to dedicate this month's newsletter to ALL THINGS ORANGE!

The Digital Photo Academy launches the DPA Monthly Photo Assignment, exclusively for our student body participating in the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced ongoing workshops around the country. Each month, a new assignment will be offered.
