Certainly you have visited Santa Monica and included the Pier in your travels, but you may discover another way of seeing it with your instructor and fellow photo enthusiasts.

The light against the water and sand is lovely and the human presence appears in a variety of forms from Tai' Chi to fashion plate to skateboarder, down and outer and just plain stroller. Then there are the store fronts, grassy areas, architectural flourishes and various other roadside attractions.

The rendezvous at just before 3PM will be in front of Rusty's Surf Ranch on the Santa Monica Pier and you will wander around with you from there.
