DPA March Instructor Profile: San Francisco's Jessica Lifland
DPA San Francisco Instructor Jessica Lifland is included in the New York exhibition in support of Operation Smile, the worldwide children's medical charity dedicated to helping improve the health and lives of children and young adults born with cleft lip and palette.
Generous guests overtook Splashlight Studios last week for Look at Life's (www.lookatlife.com) Operation Smile charity benefit. The photography exhibit highlighted snaps taken by 27 photographers over the course of a one week journey. Called World Journey of Smiles, the lensmen and women traveled the world, documenting how Operation Smile doctors fixed facial deformities plaguing young children. Donate to Operation Smile

Look At Life, a New York based art collective founded by O.A.R. bassist Benj Gershman (front center), produced the exhibition to honor and benefit Operation Smile. Gershman was proud to champion the cause. 'Facial deformities do occur here in America. They're hereditary, so it happens just as often as it does overseas, but the quality of medical care available in other countries is lacking, so that's where Operation Smile comes in,' Gershman told the NY Daily News.
