DPA April Special Announcement: Panasonic-LUMIX L10 Presented at PMA Vegas

Panasonic-LUMIX L10 Presented at PMA Vegas
This past February, all of us on the Digital Photo Academy Team attended the annual Photo Manufacturer's Association Trade Show in Las Vegas, where the nation's retailers are wowed with all the latest photo equipment. It is a real scene, with acrobatics, musicians, costumed performers and more, all to properly showcase the latest in camera technology.
Of course Panasonic had more than their share of impressive announcements. In addition to their elaborate displays on the convention floor, the Panasonic team made sure to express their commitment to photography, with a number of special events throughout the city and one that even brought us all the way to the Grand Canyon.
With a dozen helicopters, over one hundred journalists were transported to this spectacular natural wonder and the sites en route were pretty photogenic as well. This excursion alone was unforgettable, culminating in a champagne lunch once we landed in the Canyon, but Panasonic offered even more.
Check out these photos of us as passengers in BMW's, driven by pro race drivers taking hairpin turns at top speed on a NASCAR practice track...and the M5 fighter planes flying transformation in the skies above, throughout the entire event.
The Panasonic tribute to the L-10 at PMA was spectacular, but if you read the Imaging-Resource review of the camera, accessible here, it is easy to understand the reason for such fanfare.
