Wicker Park

With DPA Instructor Alexander Gouletas

Wicker Park is one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Chicago.  Known for the exciting energy and diversity, many young professionals, artists, musicians and families call it home.  Wicker Park is a real neighborhood that has gone through many eras of gentrification, and yet can still boast it’s long-standing, rich history.  Today, it is known for the trendiness mixed in with the bohemian -- a place that is always happening day and night.

Shoot and experiment with wide angle shots and get close up and explore small details.  The area is a world of beautiful galleries and fine dining, but also quaint hole in the walls, delicious cafes, lively entertainment, exciting retail, and much much more.  Join your Digital Photo Academy instructor Ellie Pritts to get a feel for what is here.  There is never a boring moment!

We will meet at Filter Cafe located at 1373-75 N Milwaukee Avenue Chicago, IL 60642.  Please bring your DSLR or another type of camera that you use, a fully-charged battery, and the equipment that you can carry (tri-pod optional).  Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring a bottle of water.  Your photo walk with Ellie will culminate at the Filter Cafe for a critique of the day's shots.
