Not surprisingly, the Embarcadero is where one embarks.  It is filled with restaurants, farmers' markets, and sidewalk strollers out enjoying the day.  As its name suggests, the Embarcadero boasts many forms of transportation, from ships to railways to bikes.  You too can embark on a fun, exciting adventure with your Digital Photo Academy instructor as you photograph the Embarcadero.

You will photograph everything from the architecture to the characters walking down the street to the palm trees lining the sidewalks.  It can be overwhelming to try to capture so many different elements and details at one time, but your instructor will give you the tools you need to confidently shoot one great image after another.

During the shoot, you will learn the secrets of the trade from professional photographers and new compositional techniques such as how to bring out the colors in nature and architecture, approach strangers for their photograph, and use light and shadow to highlight certain details in your subjects.

We will meet outside of Boulette's Larder located at 1 Ferry Building #48, San Francisco, CA 94111 next to the Ferry Plaza.  Please bring your DSLR or another type of camera that you use, a fully-charged battery, and the equipment that you can carry.  You should dress for the weather, wear comfortable walking shoes, and carry a bottle of water.
