Lincoln Park Zoo

The Lincoln Park Zoo is fun and free for all ages.  Home to a wild array of gigantic mammals, colorful birds, slithering reptiles, and slimy amphibians, the Zoo offers a unique opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and into another world...around the corner from the world you live in that is.  Join your Digital Photo Academy instructor for an exciting photographic adventure in the Lincoln Park Zoo.

You will photograph a variety of animals in a variety of settings.  Capture penguins waddling in a flock, African lions lounging in the afternoon sun, kookaburras sitting in an old gum tree, and seals peaking out of the water.

Photographing with a professional photographer will give you new insights into wildlife photography as well as tools to use in any environment.  Learn how to shoot through the iron bars that separates the animals from the people, manipulate your shutter speed to blur or freeze motion, and get close up to your subjects...from a safe distance!

We will meet right inside of the Lincoln Park Zoo located at 2200 North Cannon Drive, Chicago, IL 60614.  Please bring your DSLR or another type of digital camera that you use, a fully-charged battery, and the equipment that you can carry.  You should dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
