1.) See it as an abstract and take a detail. Use a part to become the whole!

2.) Go abstract. Even go B&W if you want to. Keep them guessing!

3.) Into the Light! Don’t be afraid to shoot directly into the reflection of the sun. Sometimes it can work well to really illustrate the luster of the water!
