This month's winner was chosen by Los Angeles DPA Instructor Chuck Place:

Lorenzo Madrid's "The Walking Ghost Monk" has a very strong sense of place, with it's warm color balance and monks partially blurred. The sense of motion added another dimension to what would have been a good image even at normal shutter speeds. I chose this image as the "Wanderlust" winner because of how well the subject, and the slightly etherial feel of a slow shutter speed, illustrates Buddhist life."
