Welcome to the DPA workshops in Washington, DC, taught by photographers Bob Blanken and Dana Bowden. Classes are held at their respective studios, both in Bethesda, MD. Bowden's Lightwave Studio is in the heart of Woodmont Triangle, surrounded by retail shops, theatres and art galleries. Bowden shoots commercial, portrait, celebration, and location photography. Blanken's studio is on Persimmon Tree Road. Bob specializes in events and family portraiture, with an emphasis on corporate and associations. Between them, they have over 30 years of experience! |

Comments From The StudentsI signed up for Bob Blanken Photography’s introductory class just before I left on a trip to Switzerland and Istanbul. I was determined to get some great pictures on my vacation so I desperately needed a quick tutorial before I left. Each of us in the class had varying skill levels and each of us had a different type of camera, but Bob was able to instruct us so that we all went away with the information we needed. I had a great time experimenting with my new camera on my trip and felt much more comfortable using it in various settings. When I returned and sent pictures out to family & friends, one of my friends asked ‘Did you get a new camera?
