Welcome to the DPA workshops in Detroit. Classes are held at the Park Shelton, in their rooftop meeting room in the heart of Motor City's cultural center. From the top of the 12-story tower there's a panoramic view of the skyline. Students can see everything from the Ambassador Bridge, across downtown toward Belle Isle. Even the downriver industrial area is absolutely photogenic, with the smokestacks and flames coming out of the refineries.

The instructor did a great job of covering the course material and covering student question areas. By far it was the most productive 4 hours I've spent in photography education and I've taken several courses over the years. Brian covered my questions in depth and offered suggestions for improvement. I also learned a lot from the other student questions. I'm looking forward to taking the advanced class.
