The Intermediate Photoshop class is the second course in the DPA Photoshop Lesson Plan. The class is a continuation from Beginner Photoshop, expanding on tools touched on already, while introducing new ones as well. If you already have some experience in Photoshop, this class may be appropiate for you!
Filters and other style-effects will be introduced in this class. If you want to give your photo an antique-aesthetic or a warm-glow, this is the class for you. This class will also teach you how to doctor your photos like the pros. You can insert stars in your night shot, or put your dog's face on your kid's body. The Intermediate Class will teach you this popular techinique.
The curriculm includes:
-Curves (cont'd).
Learn how to control the exposure of your image. Adjusting the darks and lights of a photo is done with the 'Curves' tool. 'Curves' will be explained in greater length in conjuction with Beginner Photoshop.

-Color Balance.
The lighting when your photo is taken, can leave your image with an unwanted glow. Learn how to balance out the greens, yellows and blues from your photos.

-Shadow/Highlights.
Bring out your pictures from the dark, by adjusting how much shadow can dominate your images.

-Layers/Masks.
Manage what areas get altered, by how much. Layers/Masks is one of the fundamental functions of the software. This will include further discussion of 'history brush'.

-Filtering and Stylizing Effects.
Want to give your photo an antique look? Or make your child's face have an angelic glow? Putting the right filter or stylizing effect on your photo can give the mood that you want your pictures to have.

-Cut/Paste images together and other doctoring techniques.
Many photographers hate how much you can doctor an image with Photoshop. But that doesn't mean that these techniques can't be fun as well as useful. Learn how to move a face between two different photos.
